Certifiably Fit … Oh Yeah …

Certifiably Fit … Oh Yeah …

Don’t be Shy!  Leave a Reply!

I am always flattered and get a huge grin on my face when people ask me about my fitness routine.  It usually happens when I’m at the beach or in some sort of attire that reveals my arms or abs, and goes something like this:

“What did you do to get those abs, girl?”

OR

“You’ve got some GREAT arms!  Do you work out?”

OR

“I wanna know what diet YOU’RE on!”

Why am I so flattered, or why the huge grin?  Well, DUH.  I work HARD.  It is so great when someone else notices!

So, the answer – to put it simply – is, first, I love food – all kinds.  And I eat it (in moderation, generally).  But most importantly, I LOVE physical activity.  And if you’ve ever been physically active on a continual basis, and doing something you really ENJOYED, you know what I’m talking about.  I feel sluggish and jiggly-puffy (as MC likes to call it) if I don’t get out and DO something physical.  That may include anything from walking or riding my beach cruiser on the beach to an hour on the elliptical stair climber at the gym, followed by abs, arms and legs strength training.  But my absolute FAVORITE workout is found at SPX Fitness.  And I am now a CERTIFIED SPX Fitness Instructor!  WOO HOO! Yep!  I did it.  I went through the training, and am now an instructor of this incredible fitness method!

What does that mean?  Well, watch out people.  If you make it to LA and attend one of my classes, you WILL feel it (during and long afterward).  If you continue in the regimen, you will NOTICE the difference very quickly.  You’ll have abs, definition in your arms, legs and calves, and a sculpted, leaner body as a whole.  It’s simply fabulous!

You can see a video of this incredible workout here (look for the Rockit Body segment):

Fun workout.  Awesome results.

That’s it for this week, people!  Have a FIT and FANTASTIC weekend!  I am off to teach an SPX Fitness practice class!  WOOP WOOP!!

Love you people!  Mmmmmmphhhuuuuuhhhhh!!!

xoxo,

Ms. Cheevious

Think Lucille Ball meets Chelsea Handler meets the girl next door (with a little chocolate and vodka). It depicts with hilarity the innocent mistakes Lisa Jey made when launched back into the big, bad single jungle, as an unassuming single-mother in the City of Angels. Nice going Ms. Cheevious!
    Congratulations on your Certifiability. 😉
No, seriously – very cool and I’m proud of you!

So SPX is the secret hmm? OK, what diet are you on?
Can you eat just about anything as long as you keep up with a steady workout routine? I am looking for a workout routine that takes about 20 minutes, and will not cause aches and pains afterward. I imagine this method is about an hour or so and would render me useless for days! 🙂 Don’t mind my silliness though, i’m really quite impressed and proud of you!

Hey Mickey! No… my workout is between 40 and 55 mins (depending on the studio), and tho it makes you sore, you are suppose to wait until you are NOT sore before you do the workout again. So in the beginning, 2X a week might just work. Then after a while, 3X a week might be in order. It will not render you useless, because – guess what? you will notice a difference right away! ha ha. But alas, I am teaching this in LA, and I happen to know you are not here… But thanks for the interest Mickey! I am still trying to convince Wakajak into opening a studio there and becoming certified! 🙂

And yes..Though I am pretty strict with what I eat (in terms of cutting out the fat and carbs) the fun times do get in the way – non-stop – and I eat just about whatever! ha ha…

congrats on the certification — that is awesome that you’re teaching classes. You always bounce back — I’m really proud of you.

You gals need to do a video of the workout and sell it so that people like me way over here on the other side of the country can see and do your workout…
