So I started these Techno Babe moments. I don’t think I shared them with everyone, except perhaps on Facebook. Anyway, I started doing this, because – well, I’m known for being a bit of a GEEK. Yup. You heard it here.
GEEK.
But seriously. The cool thing about MY techno-babe moments is that they will strip away the fear and mystique from such Techy acronyms as U-R-L, and bring the TRUE meaning of “I need more RAM” into focus! I’ll make it so simple, even your granny who still swears by the paper-back version of her yellow pages, will become a techno babe! It’s true. My techno babe moments do NOT discriminate.
So here it is. My first ever, Techno-Babe Moment – where I analyze in VERY EASY TERMS, the iPhone app called “ANTI-MOUSTIQUE” (an “app” is something that makes the iPhone (or other products made by that company – APPLE) be able to tell you things, or do things for you, so that other people think you are really smart or very cool). ANTI-MOUSTIQUE professes, when it is on and activated, to emit a sound frequency that insects – mostly mosquitos – cannot handle. When hearing this frequency, insects are suppose to FLEA (ha ha – no pun intended) – I mean, FLEE. I tested it. And you can trust me. I’m a BUG magnate.

As I recall… You live at the beach. When I lived at the beach, I never saw one mosquito! Plenty of large long legged spiders and cockroaches though. Any apps for should be but aren’t extinct giant bugs? You may be a techno babe now, but I know for a fact you learned to type, not how to use a keyboard…love

Tisk Tisk laura… you’ve been away from me for farrr too long.. And don’t you remember when I was 12 my dad started selling computers at the base – those new home personal computers? The kind where you had to insert an 8″ large floppy disk into a drive, before turning it on? that was called the “boot up disk”? Remember? I had to learn Word Star without a mouse, or windows… or any kind of humble abode with little creatures. It was me and DOS baby… Ahhh those were the days.
And guess what? There are FRUIT FLIES AND GNATS at the beach. And the app WORKS on them! did you watch the video??? You must not have, because otherwise, you would have known this. Ahhhh… my friend… Much to learn, have you….

LOL, yeah they work alright. Be sure the dogs in the vacinity aren’t being annoyed though, the high frequency is right in their range of sensitivity too. 🙂 *In fact, Paula used to hear a camping device I bought years ago, but it’s range was much broader and less effective on mosquitos than it was on sensitive humans! LMAO*
