Should I Reconnect With A Love Interest From Decades Ago?
When I received a letter from subscriber EA, I knew immediately I had to reply via video. I believe we have the start of something very interesting here. In the video I mention my idea for a great name for this segment – along the lines of “all things Mischievous” – something like “Spit it Out & Ms. Cheevious Will Answer.” That’s simply too long. I’ve relegated this new series to something very simple: Just Ask Me.
It’s a bit boring and over done (in the blogosphere), so I’m open to suggestions. You know what to do with your suggestions (hint: comments below).
This video is super unique in that 1) It reflects on the Golden Era of the Rockefellers, J. Paul Getty, and Marjorie Merriweather Post; 2) E.A. had some interesting encounters with Ms. Post’s granddaughter, whom he says, reminds him of Ms. Cheevious (awe); and 3) I went deep into my roots to imagine how my MOTHER (who would have been a contemporary to E.A.) would have answered E.A.’s question. That starts at 6:15. You’ll get a kick out of it. Enjoy!
If for some reason (via email or otherwise) you cannot see the video window above, click HERE to view it on the Ms. Cheevious site, or HERE for YouTube. Comments and more questions (as well as your own suggestions for E.A. are WELCOME.
DON’T FORGET TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENTS!
M.C. Nugget and I are off to Vegas for a friend’s fun birthday weekend. I’m sure there will be some manner of celebrity mayhem to report, and I’m up to the task!
Until then, have a glorious week – find a random stranger – smile broadly at them and make their day INCREDIBLE – that or simply wink and walk away – that should befuddle them at minimum.
Love you people!!!! Mmppphhhuuuhhhh!!!
xoxo,
Ms. Cheevious

Dear Ms. Cheevious,
Please allow me to comment forthrightly, personally, and formally. Shortening the section name is right. ‘Just ask me’ reminds me if the old bowery Fish Market joke: Sammy opens his market bearing the Sign “Fresh Fish Sold Here Today,” One by one suggestions come to shorten the sign. Why ‘Today’, what other day are people reading it? Why ‘Here’, where else are you selling fish? Why ‘Sold’, are you ever going to give them away? Why ‘Fresh’, you wouldn’t sell old fish would you?. And finally, ‘You don’t need to tell people it’s fish, they can smell it a block away. So, do you need to say ‘me’, who else would they ask on your blog? Do you need to say ‘just’, there are no alternative offerings to select among. Then what remains is simply “ASK!”. Explanatory subdued subtitle, “If Ms. Cheevious can’t answer, her mother can. BE BOLD” Now, qualifications: Ms. Cheevious’s brain is shared with a wise, sincere and sometimes quite amusing partner. She has had wide experience in living, surviving, and succeeding. She remains personable and unjaded, even managing to be a bit cocky (no pun intended) with regard to appropriate, tactful, and valid replies and suggestions. I think E.A. is happy. As for the section, what better source than other’s problems could there be for important material to build a fascinating energetic section with general appeal, especially with the Ms. Cheevious slant. Go for it in a video format framed in related text with some iconic closer, like for example “Don’t You Waste Time!”

You silly! And you looked just like your mom! I totally think EA should look up his old flame, that is, if his wife is now out of the picture. Anxiously awaiting the one-liner video…
Fun times, love you Laura

Whenever we wonder about people from our past it’s usually for a reason. I always try to reconnect if someone has been on my mind for whatever reason, if only to let them know I’ve been thinking fondly about them.
Ms. Cheevious says
I have the same philosophy. Awesome!
